Expanding Research Footprint in Pharmaceutical Technology

The pharma giant aims to accelerate drug development and foster cutting-edge research through strategic collaboration with IIT Hyderabad.

Granules India has announced the launch of two state-of-the-art Research & Development Centres of Excellence at IIT Hyderabad’s Technology Research Park. The initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance innovation in pharmaceutical formulations and drug delivery systems.

These centers will focus on advanced formulation research, process optimization, and development of complex generic drugs. By leveraging IIT Hyderabad’s infrastructure and scientific talent, Granules India expects to reduce development timelines while improving the quality and efficiency of new products.

Company leadership stated that the partnership will also foster knowledge sharing and create opportunities for students and researchers to contribute to real-world pharmaceutical projects. This collaboration aims to strengthen India’s position as a hub for pharmaceutical innovation globally.

Analysts predict that these new R&D centers could significantly boost Granules India’s product pipeline, enhance intellectual property creation, and create more skilled jobs in the sector, positioning the company for sustainable long-term growth.
