Our home was rebuilt with stronger materials. Now, we feel safe during every season.
Before the project, our roof would leak during rains, and every storm filled us with fear. With the help of the Sukoon Ghar initiative, our new house stands firm through heat, rain, and wind.
My children finally have a safe space to study and sleep peacefully something we had only dreamed of before.
Training workshops helped me learn new construction skills. I now support my family proudly.
Earlier, I worked as a daily wage laborer with irregular work. After attending the skill sessions on sustainable housing, I learned techniques for eco-friendly and cost-effective construction.
Today, I not only build better homes for others but also train local youth to do the same. The project gave me both knowledge and dignity.
Using eco-friendly bricks reduced costs and made our walls stronger.
We used to depend entirely on expensive factory bricks that harmed the environment. Through the initiative, we learned how to make and use compressed earth blocks locally — saving money and preserving the planet.
Now, our home feels cooler in summer and warmer in winter a true example of sustainable living.
