Farming Reaches New Heights

Pune has unveiled India’s first vertical farming tower, producing leafy greens using 95% less water than traditional farms. The facility uses hydroponics and automated climate control systems.

With rising urban population and limited land, vertical farming presents a sustainable alternative for cities aiming for fresh and local produce.

Experts believe the model could expand to major metros, supporting food security while reducing dependence on long-distance transportation.
