Bringing Books Beyond Borders

Learning on Wheels

A new mobile library initiative in Himachal Pradesh is helping students in remote mountain villages access books and learning materials. The project, called Pustak Yatra, is a collaboration between educators and volunteers.

Each van carries over 1,000 books and stops at schools twice a week, allowing children to borrow and exchange books easily. It also organizes small reading sessions and storytelling corners.

The initiative is proving that literacy can grow anywhere — even where internet or digital learning is still a luxury.
