Vision 2030: 25,000 Startups, 10,000 Outside Bengaluru

New Policy Aims at Deep-Tech Revolution

The Karnataka cabinet has approved its ambitious Startup Policy 2025–2030, allocating ₹518 crore to strengthen emerging technology sectors. The state aims to nurture 25,000 startups over the next five years, including 10,000 ventures beyond Bengaluru, signaling a major push toward distributed innovation.

The policy focuses on future-defining technologies such as AI, blockchain, quantum computing, and robotics.

It promises incubation support, easier regulations, strong mentorship networks, and international partnerships to help young founders scale faster.

With a vision built on seven strategic pillars — funding, incubation, market access, sustainability, and regulatory ease among them — Karnataka is positioning itself as India’s deep-tech capital. Analysts believe this could spark a wave of innovation across tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
